Academics
In addition to career training, Denison Job Corps also provides academic training, including basic reading and math. Courses in independent living, employability skills, and social skills are offered in order to help students transition into the workplace. We also have several academic programs to help our students achieve their full potential.
GED/High School Diploma
One of our top goals at Denison Job Corps is to ensure that every qualified student obtains his or her GED/high school diploma prior to leaving the center. Students who don't already have a high school diploma upon their arrival at Denison can enroll in our GED program. Our high school diploma program is a self-paced program on our campus and is provided by the Denison Community School Systems Alternative High School.
College Programs
Our center offers college programs to our students in conjunction with Western Iowa Tech Community College (WITCC) and Indian Hills Community College (IHCC). Students enrolled in these programs live on our campus and have all their major college expenses covered, including tuition, lab fees, and books. For more information, see the Advanced Training section of our Career Training page.
